Heading home.
Took my camera's memory card to a dealer who showed me how to reformat it. He thinks that will do the trick. I was all set to buy a new card. Thank goodness for the thoughtful.
When I said I was spoiling myself today I wasn't kidding.
Late dinner was KFC! After that fabulous lunch and three (shhhhhhhh) drinks.
I pointed out to my arteries that the Colonel is now cooking with zero trans fat.
I only had the two piece with mashed and slaw - so veggies were involved - and did I mention the zero transfat oil?
The cutest little boy in the world is on my right. He and mommy are playing peek-a-boo, and I am melting into a big puddle from the cuteness of it all.
Everyone is melting, even the very crabby looking old guy on the seat opposite me.
There's a kid a few seats over with facial piercings.
One in his nose, four circling his mouth, and at least 8 in his ears. He's all dressed in black, and his hair is in two very long braids.
I guess I 'm getting old.
Believe me when I tell you that I rock and roll to my own music, but these kids with a dozen facial piercings and tattoos get to me.
It's like dude don't you know those piercings will leave scars? And tattoos are not erasable. Do they realize they may have to interview for a job one day? My age is so showing.
Now I am hoping my template will be in working order when I get home.
Waving at you all from a NYC subway.

Subway station - waiting for the downtown train.
Here we go. Neato got a seat.
Across from me an old man in the world's biggest headphones makes a speech about society going straight down the tubes.
I give him my best "I remain hopeful" look.
This gets me a smile.
The rest of the car gets a string of profanity.
Ooookay.
A kid gets on the train with a super size order of fries, and of course he sits next to me.
Watch it kid - you could lose those.
Two middle-aged ladies, obviously inspired by the old guy, begin an animated discussion about World War 2 and what we didn't learn from that one.
The old guy is announcing he is Jesus Christ returned to Earth.
"Will you crucify me again?"
He looks at me.
See God In Each Other
See God In Each Other
Peace.

It's cocktail time.
Sex on the Beach with fresh pineapple and peach vodka - yummee.
Had a bit of a photostroll.
Stopped for a late lunch - giant tortellini with bolognese.
I'm going to spoil myself rotten today.

This evening I set up headquarters at my local Starbucks.
I actually did an audio post for my Yahoo group right at my table - why not?
I did some paper journaling, and read some of my book - Revelations Diaries of Women.
It's great. I just finished reading the section Anne Frank. It's been years since I read the book, and I forgot how mature and free she was in her writing.
I wish I could be like that. No holds barred, writing without any apologies or explanations.
Some blogs are like that.
Fearless like those people who go on HBO's Real Sex show. Everyday folks who reveal their kinks right in front of the world.
I mean seriously you know that young guy who delivers the groceries or pizzas has got to be up late watching it.
And I'm sure the local pharmacist, the guy who owns the car wash and the president of the garden club is to!
Here I go rambling again, but hey it is mobile blogging.

Where's that C train got to?
Ah here it comes.
It was a busy day online.
I signed up for NaBloPoMo - it happens in November just like NaNoWriMo.
You post to your blog every day for the entire month. I'm a blog-a-holic so I'll have a total blast.

Saturday morning.
Sinus headache.
Took a Sudafed chased down with ice tea.
Pray for me.
The book is good.
Last night I read the diary of a 19th century girl aged 7.
Amazing that a child could write such deep thoughts.
When I was 7 it was all about the Flintstones and Krazy Straws.
The three teen-age girls at the other side of the car are talking all at once and very loudly.
Each piercing giggle is a pitchfork in my eye.

Waiting for a bus back to New York.
That rain on grass smell is still around two hours after the storm.
Smells green.
A little boy is drivng his dad crazy running through a rock garden.
Click Clack Click Clack
Yes, he won't be happy until he falls down.
Here's the bus.
Everybody hustles on.
Two West Indians ladies chatter excitedly about a new food store that's coming.
Everyone else is pretty quiet, even the little boy.
When I get back to the city I want to sit quietly in Starbuck's with my new book.
Now the West Indians ladies are discussing trucks with the bus driver.
Something about defensive driving around very old trucks.
I leave driving to professionals.
Car is a hindrance in New York anyway.
Now one of the ladies is telling the bus driver he should have taken the lower level.
He's pretty good natured, most other drivers would have fussed with her.
Bridge is crowded tonight. Friday night - everyone wants to party.
I want to walk through the museum Sunday morning, and take some more pics.
The trucks are really getting on the ladies nerves now. Seems their bad driving is holding everyone up. Okay.
There's an obnoxiously long limo on our left side. One of those white ones with the black windows that seats a dozen.
You could get a hot tub in there.
Usually someone is riding standing up through the sun roof, and yelling cause they had a few too many.
Here we are - New York - my chai is getting closer.
Subway.
It's very quiet for a Friday night - where are the party girls with their knock off designer bags and Wonder bras?
Maybe they got one of those limos.

I didn't post my Writers Island this week; I spent so much time outlining it in my notebook that it's practically novella length lol.
It's not a case of being blocked, it's a case of overflow.

Morning.
1 train.
Spent about an hour searching Barnes & Nobles, before the book that was meant for me surfaced in the Women's section.
Revelations Diaries of Women.
A pretty standard old school size paperback.
Does anyone else remember when a paperback cost 2.95?
I used to buy everything in hard cover for 10-12 bucks, and that was bestseller not remainder price.
The book felt good in my hand.
It's a simple white print on dark background cover.
I'm looking forward to it.
