The Perfect Bus

Okay, so I am standing on 125th & Lenox plotting my next move. I
decided to take my rumbling tummy to an eatery I like on 106th &
Broadway. The bus stop was a few feet away, so I walked over to wait
for a crosstown.

Suddenly a bus appears with a sign that reads 106th Broadway. Were the
transpoprtation gods smiling or what? The driver laughed when I told
him about what a surprise it was for me. Just in case you ever need to
get from 125th & Lenox to 106th & Broadway hop the M60 bus.

Today while browsing through my email contacts list I came across a few
names I hadn't contacted in a while.. Summer is always a nice time to
reconnect. There's a lot more to walk around and do.

Speaking of summer and walking there are two additions to my places to
explore list. The Cloisters which I understand are amazing, and the
State park at 145th Street & Riverside Drive,

If there is no rain Sunday I might hike/photostroll through the State
park.

Here's my stop. Ciao for now. -- Sent from my T-Mobile Sidekick®

Feeling Pretty Groovy on the Uptown 1 Train

The other night my favorite embroidered denim shirt surfaced during a
summer clothing sort. It's a short sleeve button down that's 9 years
old. I'm wearing it over a new burnt orange t-top.

When I put it on I can feel the good vibes connecting with my skin. Did
a lot of good talking and walking in this shirt,

There's not a lot of people on the train this morning. Actually the
morning rush is way over - I got a late start.

Yesterday I posted twice to my writing blog The first was a late
Writers Island; the second an early Sunday Scribbling.

I'm hoping to do a little poetry and haiku during the coming week,

One form of story writing that I am particularly interested in is the
short short, I'm going to google up some tips on tackling one when I
get myself in front of a puter.

Back at you soon.

Major Moblogging Emergency

My principle service provider's MMS system is not working, so I was
unable to post to On The Go while on the go.

I've just configured my second line to post to my various blogs,
something I should have done weeks ago.

Will be back as soon as I have a cold drink and recover a bit more.

Much bloglove to all. -- Sent from my T-Mobile Sidekick®

Memorial Day 2008

Sitting in a mid-town Starbucks planning my next move.

Spoke a half hour chatting with my friend J about men and the stuff they pull - in other words the usual.

Sunday afternoon was nice. I photostrolled along Central Park South, visited the Mac store and went to the movies.

The film Was Jellyfish and it was Israeli. Some might have the nerve to call it a chick flick, but it's not. If you happen to run into it - see it.

Time to giddy up and go.

Ciao for now.

Enjoy your days and take a minute to remember our soldiers. Whether we agree with what's going in the world they are there for us and deserve our thanks.

Tequila!

No I'm not drinking it I'm listening to it at Starbuck's.

They've got some kicking music on the speakers tonight.

I'm enjoying a highly caffeinated and totally forbidden Iced Chai. Can I tell you how marvelous it is?

I'm sitting in a spot where I can hear what's happening in the back room.

"I like mad skinny guys." "Don't call me dude man!" "Man I can't wait till we close." Giggles - "No you didn't!"
More giggles. "I hate her. Don't you hate her? Everybody hates her butt." More giggling, slapping and shuffling sounds. "Are you serious?" "That's what I'm saying." "You buggin'" Kids - it's nice to be young.

Speaking of youth I bought some washing creme for my face that's supposed to be loaded with vitamin C & collagen. Forty bucks a tube.

Dude you may think I'm buggin' but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Have a memorable Memorial Day weekend.

She Who Blogs First Anniversary

Our Yahoo Group is one year old today.

Our site is all dressed up for the occasion courtesy of Lissa. She's a group member whose got a new design thing going on at http://shewhodesigns.blogspot.com & a creative writing thing at http://www.justwritingwords.com - from there you can get to her awesome photoblogs.

I think things are going to be a little quiet round the blogosphere this weekend, what with the holiday and all, but things are sure to be jumping during the coming week.

Wishing you all a memorable Memorial Day weekend.

Waving at you from the bus station,
Frances

the old man is singing spanish songs

on the downtown platform. He plays a fair guitar too.

People drop money into a large cup by his feet. It's one of those buckets they give you Atlantic City to hold your winnings. Guess that's where the profits go, and it's all profits.

Sometimes there's a blonde folksinger in that spot. She wears jeans and boots, and wails out original songs that make you tear up. I bought a couple of CDs from her. The song titles are handwritten on the discs, the edges decorated with hand drawn flowers and leaves.

This morning I woke up 4:10 and lay staring into the darkness till the sun came up. Maybe it was all the sleep I needed. Later I wrote in my notebook.

Here's my stop.

You all take care.

buying drugs is getting complicated

The over the counter variety of course.

I was in our local health & beauty aids emporium.

All I wanted to do was buy some 12 hour Sudafed - the white box is the best. There were no packages on the shelf just cards with the logo & description on them.

You take a card up to the pharmacy counter, show your ID, sign the prescription book and pay for it. The limit is two per customer.

It seems if you buy large quantitiesof the stuff you can turn it into some sort of high voltage substance.

Me? I just wanted to unstop my head.

How are all of you?

heading to Starbucks via the 3 train

Can't wait to park my butt in front of a nice hot vanilla steamer. Perfect choice for a chilly rainy day.

Worked on some stuff for our group's anniversary today in between bloghopping and other projects.

I'm doing so much writing in my paper journal lately. It helps me focus.

My blog buddy Candid Karina wrote about our meet up on her blog today. Gee I really wish she lived right here in New York. She's the kind of girl you are friends at first sight with - so cool.

At Starbucks now sipping on a steamer. In a minute I am going to pull out my notebook and start freewriting.

There stuff in me that's got to tumble onto a page.

Across from me two co-eds chat about mutual friends. They look like Tiffanys or Christines.

They actually remind me of one of my all time movies Heathers. I'm a big ole fan of teen flicks. Do they still write teen fiction? I used to love reading the stuff when I was eleven and twelve.

Time to grab a pen.

Ciao for now.

good morning blogosphere

on the 1 train heading uptown. There's a young man who looks so happy playing one of those handheld game things that I am jealous. I got to level 24 of Bobby Carrot on my cell phone once, but it got to hard after that. Can you imagine that a cell phone game can hold 50 levels?

I missef my stop on the train several times because of that blasted rabbit!

Sunday was totally excellent. I went to the American Museum of Natural History, and later that night I went to Dave & Busters for drinks, nibbles and games.

There should be some camera phone pics on the page here. I also took some with my digi camera which will go in the album tonight.

The lighting in the Museum makes it hard to get good shots sometimes.

The Water exhibit was great: I'll do an at length post over at the main blog this week.

Ciao for now.
