what a difference a font make...
My friend changed the font on my phone, so I'm not squinting like Miss Magoo when texting.
And yes of course I have glasses, and of course I am too lazy to put them on.
Ciao for now.

My friend changed the font on my phone, so I'm not squinting like Miss Magoo when texting.
And yes of course I have glasses, and of course I am too lazy to put them on.
Ciao for now.
I'm on the uptown 1 train busily tapping on my little keyboard.
The young lady in front of me is listening to something on her Ipod that's taking her back to some special moment. She's smiling in a certain way and her shiny eyes are watching the memories play on her mind's screen.
The teen-ager all the way down the end of the car is playing some game on her Blackberry Pearl with such intensity I feel the fate of humanity is riding on the results.
The tall dark young man to my left looks a little worried.
A test he didn't study for? Job interview? Short on cash?
Dunno.
The teen-ager has stopped playiing her game, and is practicing her smile in the relections of the car's windows.
How easily their attention is diverted eh?
Ciao for now.
and I'm heading downtown.
There are two quite off Broadway plays I would like to see.
At least three intresting movies are out there too.
How does a girl decide which?
Well, definitely not on an empty stomach.
I'm on the 2 train right now, and I'm thinking of changing at 42nd Street. From there I could head towards the Lower Eastside or Chinatown. I could even get on a Q and go out to my beloved Coney.
You know what? I'm getting on the first subway that pulls in.
Ciao for now.
Heading downtown for a soy burger at Dojos, and then a nice walk uptown.
I want to take some New York by nite photos too.
The subway car has quite a few moms with toddlers on board. Is there some sort of event somewhere? Every is having nibbles - looks like goldfish crackers - love those things.
A guy just got on the train with his significant other. Her skirt is so short and her heels so high the world is her gynecologist.
Can't wait to sit and write in my journal.
Happy Saturday.
and that's rare for me.
I'm on a Jersey bound bus and everyone who gets on has a 20 dollar bill and 5 questions for the driver.
He's not holding up well under it all.
Just hope this isn't the day he decides to take all the passengers hostage, and head for the Mexican border
Then again I haven't had a really good tamale in a while.
Hasta La Vista
Stopping in at one of my favorite coffeebars gets my morning off to a happy start.
For a minute there the experience was marred by a new local law that requires restaurant chains, with more than a certain amount of locations, to post calorie counts.
I still get my favorite iced chai when I go, but no more muffins, donuts or sweet breads.
Guess the law is accomplishing it's "purpose."
And while I am grateful to be eating less I still am sending the powers that be a nice long Booooooooooo!!!
Can't wait for Sunday. I'm spending the whole day working on my New York blog. The process is not being rushed either. Each and every post, page and pic is going to be exactly just right.
I'm hoping both you and I will be satisfied with the results.
Much bloglove, Frances
Yesterday my friend J was surprised to see me in my hot pink capri outfit. Today I dug around the closet till I found my orangey-pink capris with the multi-colored flip-flops embroidered on them. There's a white shirt with appliqued flp-flops to match. Sometimes you have to make a bit of a splash - ya know what I mean?
I'm greeting the week with a smile, and my new hot pink capri set. It's got small butterflies embroidered on one pant cuff, and where a breast pocket would be.
I almost went with a dark blue one, and then I said to myself, "Self why not be as bright outside as you feel inside?"
Ciao for now.
the movies.
You fry eggs on the streets of New York today.
I'm on the subway right now heading downtown.
Was really looking forward to a trip to Coney Island today, but I think I"ll wait till next Sunday. It's too hot even for me.
Going to Dojos's for late lunch. Can I tell you how "bad" I was with food this week?
Climbed on the scale today, and I swear I heard a faint cry that was not my own.
